Base Game vs Deluxe Edition
Prices are the official USD launch prices from the Lyrical Games FAQ and the Steam listings. Nothing in the Deluxe tier is gameplay power: the base game contains the full story, all bosses, all trophies and the single ending.

What Is Actually Verified About the Story DLC
The Major Story DLC is unreleased, so this page stays a pre-release overview: what the publisher and store listings state, and nothing more. Verified so far — it is a complete side story set in the same world with the same characters, it is included in the Deluxe Edition (and its upgrade), and it is expected in 2027.
What is not announced: pricing for base-game owners who want the story DLC without the skin packs, its exact length, and whether it adds trophies to the 39-trophy list. When Lyrical Games publishes details, this page and the Trophy Roadmap get re-verified against them.
Two things the DLC deliberately does not change: the launch game's single ending (see the Endings page) and the free-update track — New Game+ and the French voice-over are free for every owner, not Deluxe perks.
DLC & Editions FAQ
Is the Valor Mortis story DLC out yet?
No. The Major Story DLC is expected in 2027 as a complete side story in the same world with the same characters. Everything playable today is the base game plus the La Grande Armée Weapon Skin Pack for Deluxe owners.
Do I need the Deluxe Edition for trophies or the ending?
No. All 39 trophies — including the Platinum — and the game's single ending are in the $39.99 base game. Skin packs are cosmetic and no trophy in the verified list references them.
Can I buy the base game now and upgrade later?
Yes. The Steam Deluxe Edition Upgrade page sells the step up to owners of the base game. If you upgrade while the game is running, restart it — the La Grande Armée skins unlock automatically rather than through a code.
Will the story DLC add a new ending?
Not announced. The launch game has one ending, and the DLC is described as a side story rather than a rewrite of the finale. We will verify and update the Endings page as soon as real details exist.
Are New Game+ and French voice-over part of the Deluxe Edition?
No — both are free updates for all owners, with New Game+ planned for later in 2026 and French voice-over to follow. See the Patch Notes page for the free-update track.
